How much BioDry and where?

Recommended Posts

Hi there, am complete novice here - so, the Bio Dry - I sprinkle that on the dropping tray and on the area of grass under the run that is tricky to reach in to daily poo pick??

How much do I sprinkle??

Thank you very much in advance for you reply :-)

Am loving my girls!!

Thanks, K. x

Super, thank you Pottage! The wind blew as I did it - so it went everywhere apart from where I wanted it!! Ha ha! I may not have been generous enough with my spinkling, so will pop out and add some more (another excuse to chicken watch!) x

One of my babi... erm I mean chickens, has just been verry ill with e. coli so when I found out I put enough bio dri in their run to probably kill an elephant!

I try and do it on days when there is no wind, and sprinkle it quite close to the ground and then run it through with a rake so the girls dont instantly think it's some new type of food and try and eat it

Ahh - lovely girls! Thanks again Pottage - another silly Q - how often do I need to sprinkle? Now that my babies (!) are settled they are using a large penned off area so the run isn't as full of poo, so dont' think I will need to move it for a bit longer.....thanks again for all my Q's. Want to get it right! x

I sprinkle it all over - copious amounts in the poo tray and when I rake out the run I bung a layer down there too before putting new aubiose in. Now I'm wondering about a nice sprinkling in the greenhouse and all over the grass. Paranoid is my middle name of course! LOL!
