Solitary chicken - need advice

Sorry if this is a silly question, but I wondered how you all stop the bedding from falling through the nest box holes? I'm using snowflake at the moment and just put some kitchen roll over the hole. Is this what everyone else does? Just curious

We line our nest boxes with cut up paper feed bag Claireabella. It is there really to stop a broken egg messing up the box. Ours are wooden coops with external nest boxes so the bedding, which is snowflake the same as you, won't fall out anyway. Feed bag paper is quite heavy and doesn't get disturbed when they scratch about. There is a risk that kitchen roll will be moved, which is what we found when we tried using that instead.
