xsoggyx
This is a TOTAL NEWBIE QUESTION so applogies all round. Not sure who but one of my girls has a bit of an egg production line going on. As I have a heart condition I cant have too many eggs but I was wondering HOW LONG CAN I KEEP THEM before I should throw them? Obviously it will be some time before I have to throw an egg as I have pre orders from family, friends and even the window cleaner. Please help
Martin B
Supermarkets recon 4 weeks! I keep mine for about 3 at most. Hope that helps!
arowland17
my chicken book says 3-4 weeks kept at room temperature and put them in water before if unsure and they'll float if bad - we write the date they were laid on them in pencil so we know their age but they don't last long! Los Tres Pollos
If your worried about eating eggs with a heart condition try looking at these sites for some reassuring advice, well they help me justify what I eat. http://www.britegg.co.uk (under nutrition) http://www.nutritionandeggs.co.uk/ The first one also has videos of the classic Tony Hancock 'Go to work on an egg' TV adverts
