Adams Egg
Saw these at a show in Dorset earlier in the week, they are a blue egg layer, quiet small and a cross between columbine and leghorn looking like a white leghorn with a columbine headgear. Anyone heard of these or have any experience, apparently a fairly new strain? I would have asked more questions at the time but was informed by OH that there were more important things to buy..... sjp
I think looking at photos of them they're Araucana based hybrids that came on the market either last year or the year before but they seem only to be in small numbers but a couple of write ups reckon they are a more reliable hybrid for blue eggs than the earlier models. it looks like they are from a smaller breeder of hybrids
The Dogmother
Sounds like the Blue Angels; those are white Leghorn x Araucana, and are pretty little white birds with tufted hads and greyish splodges, they lay lareg pale turquoise eggs and aren't big birds. Very sweet, and I am thinking of getting two myself
