Pro - Does anyone else's nest boxes get soaked in rain?

Help, current cube owners!

Expectant 1st time hen mother here with date of delivery (cube) 30/07 & I'm worrying about space. How long is the metal opening/closing handle on the cube please! I have limited space & need to make the most of it..... I mean I'm literally up against the wire if I don't get this right!

Can't remember the exact length, but allow 18" and you'll be fine

I went out for a look this morning and forgot to reply! The total handle length is about 12-13 inches but it sticks out 11 inches clear of the cube when fully extended. If you think about it, the skirt is about 6 inches deep, so it isn't much more. Hope this helps!

Thankyou, thankyou for going to so much trouble... It's all this waiting for delivery, gives me too much time to think about potential problems! By your reckoning I can just about squeeze a cube in which is great cuz it's the only one for me ; )
