annie17 Posted September 6, 2015 Share Posted September 6, 2015 I have a chicken who is making a snorting noise and has done so for the last 3 weeks. She is a well hen: no nasal discharge, healthy eyes, still laying, looks happy. I have 2 other hens and they are not making the noise. I have looked inside her beak and can't see anything. Beantree Posted September 7, 2015 Share Posted September 7, 2015 Sometimes they drink and get water into their airways. The snorting clears it. Could also happen with dusty feed as well, so we sieve the pellets to remove the dust and clear the dust out of the feeders as well.
