Grandmashazzie
George, most beautiful black Labrador was diagnosed with hip dysplasia at 5 months. He really was in a lot of pain and I thought hard about euthanasia. He is now 11 months and doing well. He has discontinued his Tramadol and is on a supplement Nutraquin and Metacam. He is now able to be off lead and goes in swimming brrr a few times a week. I invested in 3 orthopaedic mattresses and have them in strategic positions which he ignores completely and sleeps on the floor.H e will probably need surgery at some stage but for now he is great. Only downside is I really don't enjoy taking him walking. I watch him nervously and analyse his every move, lucky OH isn't so observant. Ain't Nobody Here
Poor George, but I'm so pleased he seems to be doing so well . I can understand your anxiety but hopefully that will lessen as you see he's coping with his walkies .
