She fancies a blue egg laying hybrid, a dark egg laying hybrid, and a couple of Appenzellers. Has anyone had Appenzellers - what are they like and will they get on OK with hybrid girls? redsunset Posted May 5, 2016 Share Posted May 5, 2016 Have had a couple of appenzeller (lost one to the recent illness) but they are fab birds and love the funky looks. The appenzeller spitz. White with black polka dots and funky top knot hairdos. Very flighty and dont like being handled but integrated right away in flock. Lay a small to medium pure white egg.
