My mum has 2 hybrids left - a white leghorn type, and an Amber. She fancies a blue egg laying hybrid, a dark egg laying hybrid, and a couple of Appenzellers.

 

Has anyone had Appenzellers - what are they like and will they get on OK with hybrid girls?

Have had a couple of appenzeller (lost one to the recent illness) but they are fab birds and love the funky looks. The appenzeller spitz. White with black polka dots and funky top knot hairdos. Very flighty and dont like being handled but integrated right away in flock. Lay a small to medium pure white egg. Mine sleeps 15 ft up in a conifer!!!
