Hollykins24 Posted August 14, 2017 Share Posted August 14, 2017 I've a couple of recently acquired 'brown' hens who were both PoL when they arrived a few months ago. Bell started laying shortly after arrival and is a regular producer of lovely large brown eggs. However, her friend Jingle has produced a few ping-pong ball sized eggs over the same period with up to 10 days between laying. She seems quite happy scratching around the garden and her wattles and comb are large and red. I was just wondering if there's anything I should be worried about or are there hens that don't lay well? I don't think it's anything I'm doing wrong because the other one is laying well but I'd appreciate advice from more experienced poultry keepers.
