LBUK Posted April 24, 2018 Share Posted April 24, 2018 Hi, I bought 5 coturnix quail that should now be about 7-10 weeks old I think. In a couple of weeks I’ve had one half hard egg and nothing since. I witnessed some mounting which I hoped was female domination tactics. They seem to all get on otherwise. I’ve just tried sexing them. Two had quite wide open gaps, two had quite fleshy closed gaps and the fifth produced a brown foam when pressed. What do you think? Could they all still be girls? Theyre supposed to be pets, I wanted 5, I don’t want to eat fertilised eggs and I made a point of them assuring me of genders.
