chickenlover
Dont know if this makes a difference or not but i thought id better mention that four of them are cuckoo polish and one is a gold silkie
Snowy
I changed mine over when the bag of growers pellets ran out. They were about 16/17 weeks.
feemcg
I changed mine over at 12-14 weeks as they were going in with the big girls and I couldn't have the big ones eating the grower's pellets, as it has ACS in it.
Snowy
That's interesting Fee - what's ACS? Only asking because one of my big ones went in with the babies for a few weeks so ended up on growers (organic - don't know if that makes a difference). feemcg
ACS is an anti coccidostat Snowy - I started off using organic then read on another forum about someones chicks dropping like flies from cocci so changed to feed with added ACS. I think I panicked a bit 'cos it probably only applies to big flocks and chicks that are out on dirt from an early age. I've bought organic for the chicks that are hatching today/tomorrow
James H
I have been asking the same questions! thanks

Hen Watch
My chooks had layers pellets supplied by Omlet on the day they arrived. The chickens were 16/18 weeks old. And the new girl I bought aged 14 weeks had layers pellets too.
