Daywalker
If we go away for christmas we were about transporting the GNR's to the mother-in-laws 15 minutes by car, complete with & run. Would this stress them
Egluntyne
They should be fine. A 15 minute journey is nothing really. If you put them in the closed Eglu or carrying boxes they will probably go into "Roost"mode anyway, and so will not be traumatised at all. Daywalker
Hurrah! Didn't really want the oldies to have to drive out twice a day to let the GNR's in and out. Thanks
Chickaboo
Mine go on holiday to my parents, which is a 30 min journey (they go in a cat carrier). They are absolutly fine, we stop and have a snack of raisins at the traffic lights!

chelsea
my lot go to their aunties (my sister) for their holidays. The good thing with the eglu is that they are totally portable/transportable, we bought 2 spare runs (reconditioned from omlet) and they stay over my sisters permanently - we just take the houses and the chickens. They love it there, brother in law even built them a perch and they destroy their garden and I leave my sister with a huge list of "what to do and when". She lives 5 mins away by car which is fab. When we go to the vets we take them in a pet carrier. They are fine. I ususally put a thin blanket/towel just over the top so its not so stressful for them.
