I ordered an automatic chicken door for my Amish coop (see attached pic of similar coop), however, I'm wondering if I'm going to have an issue with the siding around the coop door nad on the coop itself. Does the door need to fit flush against the structure? Will I need to remove the siding that sticks out? Hoping that someone with a similar coop can weigh in on their installation success/process.

It's all going to depend on the design of the automatic door, because my preference is to fit them internally. If that is possible you could just heave the existing door open?

If you watch the installation video, I don’t think it should be a major problem. They don’t mention anything about it in the manual or video though.
