The Dogmother
I check under our oven regularly as the cats are in the habit of storing their mice under it. We had a live one not long ago that got into the back of the cooker, we couldn't see it, so left it to its fate with the cats. The next morning it was in one of my shoes. He was such a lovely mouse, we released him in the woodpile with some chook corn to keep him happy. I love them, just not in the house. I'd advise a magnetic cat flap if the rat is getting in that way.
Mel (& Paul)
What do you do? Stick a magnet on the rat and have hours of fun watching them zap onto the cat flap
The Dogmother
That really made me laugh! I had to upgrade to a magnetic flap after the enormously fat cat along the road kept breaking in and raiding our cat's food Just booting it out didn't work I think it has somethign wrong with its appetite regulator as it's always eating. PurpleHen
I could always lend you my cat, Blue, we woke up yesterday to a HEAD and FRONT LEG less rat in the lounge. The cat had also been sick - hence the rejected body I presume Better rats and mice than birds
