Guest
i know ex batts combs are pale and floppy at first because that's how they lose heat in the battery cage etc etc but we've had out girls over a month now and only a cple of the girls combs have got smaller and redder, the other 2 are still quite large, floppy and pale- why? Does this indicate a health issue? I've seen people say pale combs indicate heart problems so was just a little concerned and wanted a bit of advice. Shall I post some photos t'row, would that help? chelsea
I thought it was a dark/blue/purple comb indicated heart problems.
Guest
any idea why they're still pale and floppy? is it sometimes irreversible?
Lovemychooks
One of my ex-batts Colonel had a very floppy comb which got smaller but stayed floppy, I don't think it's anything to worry about. Someone might be along with more advice......
chelsea
our 1st 2 chickens were rescue chooks and were runts. One of them had a big floppy comb all the time, she lived a happy life.
