scriv
Hi, we have 4 chicks, and we used to let them free range. recently (because baby on way) we decided to clear the garden of poo! so now we have them on grass, 2x run extensions. I don't want to move them around the garden, so I need woodchip??? Will that need cleaning out? If so how often please? thanks, Jon
chelsea
its a matter of preference really. We use hemcore in our run and remove/clean the top layer off weekly and remove the entire run contents and refresh every month. Some people dont do it this often, I think you will soon see yourself when you think it needs cleaning out.
Couperman
I do a complete muck about every three weeks depending on the weather. As soon as it starts to get the slightest bit whiffy I leap into action, like a tightly coiled sock. If it hasn't been too damp I sometimes just chuck another load of hemcore in to squeeze another week out of it. Kev.
