Tessa the Duchess
We are going to get a 2nd dog, either from Battersea dogs Home or the Dog Trust. We have re-homed three dogs before but we didn't have chooks then. Has anybody had trouble re-homing a dog because they have chickens? Re-homing a dog these days is as difficult as adopting children and I should know they want to know other pets in the family, the age of children living there and they do home visits so I couldn't hide the chickens and Eglu Anybody any comments or experience? Rhapsody
I didnt have any trouble with that at all when I recently got Rescue Dog no3. Having said that I was careful not to go for a working breed or one with a strong chase instinct.
tenzin
Getting a dog from battersea usualy means theres a chance of them being neglected for some part of their life , so throwing them into a situation where they will have imideate contact with hens may bring a few problems .. EXCITMENT - STRESS THE HENS - Who knows , just be extra extra careful , dogs will be dogs !
