Helly Welly
Well, yesterday actually I finally managed to get my peas in. I sprouted them first in sprouting jars that you use for mung bean sprouts and that sort of thing. Apparently, sprouting them first deters mice as they don't like them. The allotment was really sticky, my boots weighed a ton by the time i'd finished as i had half the allotment stuck to the soles of my wellies. Still, nothing else to do now before Christmas except harvest Brussels and leeks. Brought home a nice load of Brussels yesterday, so many i'm going to freeze some. snowcloud
Well done ! Mine were in the greenhouse and had been doing well, when the frost hit them and now they look very sad - the broad beans were ok though. I am worried now that I planted the peas WAY too early... Lesley
I might try that with some peas in the greenhouse - we always have a mouse problem with peas.
