Cinnamon
I have 8 big hens, & am getting no eggs,or if I am lucky 1 a day from them 2 are not yet in lay & 2 have only just started laying,so they are off the hook. However my 4 older girls who are all hybrids & all a year old are not laying. Lily is in moult,so she is excused, but what about the others. Could the disturbance of the 4 new hens put them off? I also found some poo with what looked like blood in it,& they haven't eaten anything red.Don't know who did it as it was in the litter tray, but should I be concerned? The new hens were wormed before they came to me, & the old flock about a month ago.
ktdot
Ours do poos that look like they have bits of insides in sometimes In fact poop scooped some this morning. All fit and well though. Maybe it's just the time of year slowing them down?
BeckyBoo
Hi, we have 7 hens that lay between 3 and 5 eggs a day, and none of them have any excuse!! So some days there are 4 hens freeloading! Think it's the cold and wet. Mrs Bertie
