Laura & CTB Posted January 8, 2008 Share Posted January 8, 2008 Hi Matt Yes chooks can eat perfectly well with them on, no its doesnt hurt them (they sit in the nostrils which have no nerves) As for easy to put on - hmmm !! depends on how dociile your chook is!! Best to put them on first time after they have gone to roost when they are more dozey and all the better if you have someone to help you - if you can get someone to hold the chook then it's easier as you have two hands free to insert the anti peck bits into the nostrils. -also a tip is to warm the bits in hot water first - makes them a bit easier to bend.
