At first they didn't seem keen but later went back and and ate it all. Now every time they see me walk into the garden with one they are jumping up trying to take ot out of my hand. I just stripped off the outer leaves and all those hairy, fibrous bits (which could cause an impacted crop), rinsed it under the tap, cut it into 4 and chucked it in. They loved it!
