I paid 11.75 inc postage from domestic fowl trust and you can get them for £8.22 or 2 for £12.97 inc p and p Bargain. They sell diatom but didn't check the price.

 

Worth a look though.

I got mine from there (even though my chickens ignore it ), but I've noticed that Robert Dyas are currently doing similar things (fat free) for wild birds in a twin pack for around a fiver. I shall have a closer look tomorrow lunchtime and report back/

The only problem with wild bird food is you can't trace the quality.

My chickens aint posh - they accept whatever bird food they're given...

but I don't inhabit the purely organic or gm-free world, and my palate aint that sophisticated - so cheap birdseed it is for mine!
