crazygal
We are having a weekend away in Hay-on-Wye with some friends, having never been there before can anyone recommend any places to eat, walks etc? I know about the second hand bookshops, but that's about it!!
chickflick
the blue boar is well worth a visit and for walks a short drive out of hay you get a great walk up hay bluff this can be as long or short as you want to make it ie up and down or up and along and down. Lots of antique shops too. Shepherd ice cream parlour and coffee shop is great as well in fact i cant remember any bad places to eat at all-enjoy! bronze
Lovely part of the world. We used to stay in crickhowell. It depends if you want to stay in Hay. Blaenavons fairly close and you could go see where timeteam did their dig and all the ironworking sites. the timeteam thing wasnt there when I used to go but there slot sof mining history stuff including a steam railway. DH would say theres good glider sites ont he bwlch but I doubt that interests you (it doesn me except the scenery which is breathtaking)
hillfamily
There's a joke somewhere in the title of this topic...........but I won't go there Can't offer much info apart from my mum went there a few years ago and had a very lovely time. It's on my list of places to visit, so I will be reading this topic with interest
ubereglu
Well I've been there, but it was just a flying visit on the way back from a holiday. It's a lovely place though and seemed to have some nice shops!
