KimW
I brought home a Fenning Silver Neck yesterday, I know it's a hybrid but what birds have been crossed to produce it? http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y110/KFW/IMG_7100.jpg http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y110/KFW/IMG_7096.jpg http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y110/KFW/IMG_7093.jpg My White Star just keeps trying to peck her. It's wierd because she is normally so calm. I've put the Fenning Silver Neck and a Cream Legbar (which I also got) in a seperate section of the run. Last night I picked them up and put them in the Eglu house to sleep together, seemed to be ok. This morning I lifted them out and put them back into their own section again. How long should I do this for? Edited March 2, 2008 by Guest
Egluntyne
Keep them where the others can see and hear then for a few days. Scatter treats such as sweetcorn along the perimeter of the runs, where they can all eat together too. After a few days you could let them free range together under supervision, and when things seem to be going well, put them all in together. An extra feed and drink station will ensure that the new ones won't go hungry. If you put them all in together at night, they will get used to the smell of each other. superjules
She looks like my new magpie. They are a cross between a white rhode and a barred plymouth rock. Beautiful. I hope they start getting on better soon.

KimW
Thanks, had to make my lower list smaller, cut off the kids and hubby! I'm going to try to get one with a chicken in the pic. Edited March 2, 2008 by Guest
