Faye&Ant
Hi, My girls really love pine nuts. Does anyone know if they are they ok to continue having them as a treat Faye x
Egluntyne
They are a good source of protein, but very high in fat I'm afraid, so only give as an occasional treat.
Faye&Ant
Thankyou egluntine, I thought as much, they have been having a handful on a daily basis so I will have to definately cut that down to occasionally only! Faye x

superjules
Great toasted with grilled courgettes, peppers and goat's cheese! Or in spinach, avocado, bacon and chicken salad! (Ooops, did I just say chicken salad?!) Or with cooked and cooled quinoa, diced pepper, pomegranate, feta cheese, all mixed with a spoonful of harissa paste and some chopped parsley. Oooh, I love pinenuts!!
Egluntyne
quinoa.... yuk. My son says it tastes like dried bogies!
superjules
You don't want to be eating plain quinoa. It's good mixed in with other things though. A bit like couscous in that respect.
