muzzie
My new blue eglu is due to ship on friday and should arrive in town sometime next week. I'll have to go down and pick it up when it arrives. The chickens will ship on March 19 and should be at the Post Office the next day. I will also have to go down and pick them up. I'm so excited I can't believe that I finally have an arrival date. They all have names I just need faces. They are sent by post with a melon in the box for them to eat on the trip. I'll pick up a 50lb. bag of layers pellets next week and a can for storage. My yard is fenced 6' high almost an acre enclosed for them to free range when I can watch them. We have too many predators around for them to be on their own. Most of the snow has melted and should be gone by the time the chickens get here I hope!

Egluntyne
Congratulations! The melon tip is useful. We are always worrying about them starving on journeys in the UK. The truth is that you go further to post a letter in the US than we go for our holiday.
Olly
gosh - the idea of them being 'posted' ... with a melon for the journey! That is strange, we work on a much smaller scale over here! How eggciting, bet you can't wait.
