Hevvur
I have 2 rabbits at the moment....1 loves his toys, the other ignores toys etc - can anyone recommend anything new I can give my rabbits to keep them occupied? I have access to a pet warehouse - so I've seen pretty much all the toys on the market....I was thinking more of home made things? They both have access to their hutch & run 24/7, and i've tried various toys (wooden gnaw blocks, wooden things you hang up - with and without treats, sissal toys, mats, plastic balls with bells in.....) Any ideas?!
Polly
MY bun loves to dig so you could try and out a box full of paper shreddings or soil if you dont mind the mess in the run. cardboard boxs, things they can climb on just experiment i make the most random things and she loves them most of the time. BooBoo
I think some rabbits just don't like toys as much as others - I used to have a rabbit and she loved (only) 3 things - her tunnel to lie in, scrunched up newspaper (so she could run round the run with it in her mouth.....) and a small rubber dog chew ring hung from the ceiling of the run - she used to sit for hours with it resting on the top of her head betwen her ears where she liked to be stroked. A strange, but lovely bunny!
Egluntyne
We used to have a rabbit that loved to push a small football around his run!
redfrock
One of mine is more playful than the other. She loves her ball with a bell in it. She also loves cardboard boxes to sit on / in / shred, and her favourite is a sturdy plastic plant pot which she throws around. Smudge has all of these too, but likes his plastic stool best - again to sit on or under. They have to be kept seperated because they fight. They also have 24-7 access to the large run (19ft x 10ft) which is split with wire down the middle yet they spend hours nuzzling each other through the wire, or sitting next to each other. Another case of can't live with, can't live without I guess!
pickles
mine adores boxes, that he can dig in, especially if they have shredded paper or argos cats etc inside them. Like toilet rolls as well. catalogues and yellow pages etc. Loves playing under a sheet/table cloth hanging over the bannister at the top of the stairs. Made his own tunnel at xmas, so we bought him a small collapsible tube type thing. doesnt like it as much though. My guests also like throwing flower pots around, plastic ones and also standing on some small kiddies stools i got from poundstretcher. they can stand on them and hide underneath
