HasSumAmi
This may sound like a very silly question but are chickens supposed to have one breast larger than the other? Omlet's ride side seems a lot larger than the left. She looks positively voluptuous on the right side in fact. It is NOT a lump though, just a full rounded breast on the right but not the left... Snowy
That's her crop! You will see that she looks a lot slimmer in the morning, but gradually fills out through the day. If you feel it, it is slightly spongy. They do look rather voluptuous when they've been stuffing their faces don't they?
HasSumAmi
Oh right!!! Thanks! I picked them up to see if they were both alright and Ginger was a bigger on that side too. Omlet's is the larger of the two so maybe it was just more obvious with her. I'll have a good look in the morning to make sure they are ok, but when I felt it, it wasn't lumpy or anything, but it was firm.
Egluntyne
Definitely the crop. In the morning they will be symetrical again.....for a while.
HasSumAmi
Yep - they were much more even chested this morning! But as they dived into their warmed pellet and raisin mash I doubt it will last long.
