craftyhunnypie
My sister bought some eggs last night off ebay - Friesian fowl. Does anyone have any of these birds, so I can see what they will look like. Another 21 days & more chicks! Emma.x
Snowy
I'm sure Dan and Debs have a Friesian Fowl. But they look very similar to the campines and lay white eggs. My Bella is a gold campine: Very inquisitive, cheeky, a bit flighty, beautiful soft feathers, good layer.

feemcg
Think the ones on ebay are 'chamois' - kind of buff coloured.
Guest
Kylie is our Fresian Fowl. She is absolutely gorgeous but very flighty. She makes short shrift of the fence we put up to keep them out of the raised beds even with clipped wings I was looking for a pic of her but can't find one, she is very much like Snowy's Gold Campine bit is is lemon instead of black We were so taken with the gold campine we have just ordered one from Wernlas and will collect her in June PS Found a link, sorry it's so big though http://club.omlet.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=11008&highlight=wernlas

feemcg
Ooh, I'd forgotten about those fabulous pics Debs - they should be made into a sticky so we can all check out those particular breeds if considering getting some ( I want them all apart from the Cuckoo Marans and the Naked Necks!). I think 'chamois' and lemon-pencilled' are the same thing - they're very pretty. I found another pic of some roosting up a tree - which is where they prefer to be apparently . Guest
I can easily see Kylie nesting in a tree, she is a very naughty girl and persistently flys over the fence when let out to free-range We have tried locking her in the Cube on her own as a punishment but it makes no difference as soon as she is let out she flys over again We are currently considering a water pistol, she doesn't like water very much Those pics are lovely aren't they, I often have a look at them when people mention a breed I am unsure of. We are off there again in June to pick up our new girls (Gold Campine, Cream Legbar and a Maran) I'm sure Dan will be taking his camera
