Sunshine
I was wondering what people would recommend to go on the floor of our run when the grass has gone? I know people love hemcore/autobiouse(sp) but would they be suitable for our run as it has no roof and we can't put a roof on because of the trees(see photo)Would woodchip be better becuase it wouldnt go as soggy? kiwichick
Don't know the answer but I like your setup Emma. Very nice indeed
Eyren
Wood chip might work - or how about gravel? Here are some photos of Rich and Ange's setup in Aberdeenshire http://club.omlet.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=20792&highlight=gravel Apparently it absorbs the poo pretty well! Either way you'd need some kind of barrier (boards, plastic, etc) around the bottom of the run to stop the bedding being kicked out.
Christian
I would put a small 'skirt' around the run and fill it with wood chippings. That should be okay and wouldn't go as slimey as bark does.
emily95
I think woodchip would work, we have ours on woodchip and they seem to like it Hope this helps Emily
peanut12
could you use the bamboo screening to create a roof as you could manoevre the screening round the branches
