Scottie
Our two chickies are now 3 years old - they're hybrid Lohmann Browns and laid every single day without a rest for about 2 and a half years. For the past six months we've had to eggs at all. I'm thinking about retiring them to a great big garden across the road where they could just have a lovely time with some new friends. Has anyone else's chickens not laid for such a long time and then come back into lay? Thanks for your help Sheila
esta
I have experianced this, my bantams were put in with big chickens and stopped laying for some time. I put this down to stress. Have you moved your chickens, changed their routine or even changed their feed, as they are easily upset and can stop laying. Also the weather can cause them to stop laying too. I have experianced this! Putting them across the road might make them even more stressed as they will have to go through the pecking order again. Hope they start to lay again.
