How long does an Ex-batt live

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I know this is probably a "how long is a piece of string" question due to the age the flock was rescued etc, but is there an approximate age I could expect mine to live for?

I ask as Jerry has been a bit off colour today, and I've had them since October.

How long have yours lived for?

Hi Boris :D

You are right about the piece of string theory

TBH it does depend what age they are at rescue but also a number of other factors too

* how many were to a cage when they were in the farm

* what condition they are in at rescue

* whether the chooks you got were in relatively good condition compared to the other chooks rescued that day

The list could go on :wink::lol:

I have 7 girls with me now.

3 are from a rescue in Nov 2006 1 died of a tumour 6 months after rescue

4 are from a rescue in May 2007

2 chooks i rescued in July 07 died in the early part of this year
