Jamesw
Useually when I let my chickens they come straight out but today I opened the door and nothing came out so I opened the side door and they were just sitting there but sage and onion eventually came out then they went into the garden and would only go on patches were there was no snow and they hated it when a bit of snow fell on them. Mrs Frugal
Mine stayed in the run all morning until the snow had almost gone. I think they were confused by the white grass, bless them . Jenny also laid a soft shelled egg so I think it must have bothered her.
Snowy
Mine didn't seem bothered by the snow, although they preferred to stay near their run, but it does seem to have affected laying. I had 11 eggs from 10 hens yesterday, today I've had 5! That's very low for my girls!
