GEB
Ginger my ranger looks fit to burst by the end of the day. She will continue to wolf down any food if I take treats out, but her crop looks massive...much bigger than the others. Is it possible for them to eat too much? sheik
When this question has been asked before the advice is generally "don't worry, chickens are good at regulating how much they eat". Is she laying? Chickens need a lot of food to have the energy to produce an egg a day. If you're worried, let her out to free range if you can, which will mean she gets more exercise. If you can't do that, you could scatter food on the floor to encourage scratching and make it (a bit) harder for her to eat. /\dam
Hen Watch
I have 4 chooks but the 2 Gingernuts have much bigger, full crops at the end of the day than the other 2. In fact one Gingernut has a markedly bigger crop than the other Gingernut and it sometimes swings from side to side.
jomaxsmith
My Rhode Star (a RIR hybrid) is the greediest of all my hens and often has a huge crop. I guess as long as what you're giving them is nutritrious and not 'junk' then it should be ok Jo
Egluntyne
As long as the appear healthy, are bobbing about and are not eating too many treats, there should be nothing to worry about.
