KimW
Has anyone tried these out? http://www.flytesofancy.co.uk/acatalog/copy_of_Pecka_Block.html#aPECKA Or perhaps have a homemade version they could let me have the recipe for?
Laura & CTB
I usually have one of those on the go in my run all the time - it takes weeks for the girls to get through it unless it gets wet - then takes about an hour!! Not sure if you could make a home made version - whatever holds all the bits of corn, seeds etc together is rock solid
chelsea
yes i have bought peckablocks from ascott farm supplies before. They do last a lot longer than seed bells. They are quite hard so my girls only peck the peckablock when its wet.
Olly
Someone did try making their own - there's a thread about it here
Shirl
I bought 4 because the postage for one makes them really expensive. I think they may well last a year because the current one they've had for about 2 months and it's only half gone. I have 7 chooks but they do freerange a lot. I do see them in the run pecking at it though when they could be out and about.
