meezers
Have just let the chooks out for their first wander around the garden, I had intended to follow advice on this forum and let them out an hour before dusk, but it's such a nice sunny afternoon and I was impatient , so we let them out an hour ago. Elsie and Bluebelle walked straight out, bold as brass and decimated an aqualegia seedling within 20 seconds lottie and margo followed when they realised nothing disatrous had happened to the first two, and Hattie and Pepper stayed in the run wondering where everyone was going ! I couldn't believe how adventurous Elsie and Lottie were, I think they covered the whole of the garden, lottie made my heart stop when she took fright and leapt in the air - she could have easily cleared the 5ft fence if she'd tried we didn't have to wait 'til dusk, they all made their way back to their pen after an hour, it happened to be treat time, so I shut them in and gave them some corn - hopefully they'll remember and come back as easily next time . Anyway, heres some pics Margo lottie Bluebelle Fluffy bums ! Elsie and Lottie Elsie

Canadian
What a great adventure! It's always amazing how different their personalities can be. Glad everyone came back with no trouble. Maybe you might clip one wing so "Ooops, word censored!"ody goes over the fence?
