TAJ
We are off up to Wales at the weekend and hubby said there is a rare breeds/chicken place at Omnibury we can visit enroute. I tried to look it up online no luck until I looked at the Omlet wikki breeders list - Wernlas! I have heard it mentioned a few times on here, so it will be great to see what they have, even if I do not need any more hens (at the moment). Joojoo
Hi Tracy Wernas is just off the A49 between Ludlow and Craven Arms - left hand side if travelling north/right hand side if travelling south Very easy to find. We went last year and they have got so many different chooks that I didn't know where to start looking. You can buy a little pot of seed too so that you can feed them - top tip take some of your own. Have a lovely trip to Wales and enjoy your time with the chooks.
Tweety
You will love Wernlas, but be prepared to want some more chooks. We went " just to have a look" too, and ended up with 8 more gorgeous girls!

I think we went back four times to get another pot of mixed corn to feed the chickens at Wernlas! There's some photos in our album (see below). We also got to hold some day-old chicks - aaah!
