Trish
I generally add my wood ash to my compst heap. Wood ash is great in the droppings tray too and mixes with soil to make a nice dust bath. I've never enough left to put straight onto the garden, sorry
Daisy's mum
Thank Trish! I'll tip it in the compost bin soon as it stops raining!!! Julie x

Daisy's mum
Thank you Christian Do I just sprinkle it round the trunk or fork it in? Julie x
Lesley
I've sprinkled it around the fruit bushes and on the onions bed. I raked it in for the onions, before planting but have left it around the fruit bushes.
Christian
Same here Lesley. We have so much ash, even though the hens love it in their dust bath. We often see clouds of white 'smoke' through the willow fencing as one of them is shaking their fluffy knickers!
