redhotchick
I got a real fright tonight. I went out to lock the chickens in. It was quite dark and I hadn't been watching them very closely while they free ranged. I opened the egg port and there was only one chicken. Bella was missing. I looked behind the greenhouse, where Bella has taken to dust bathing/nesting recently, fully expecting to find her there. She wasn't there. Aaah! So I'm thinking Cat? Fox? and she comes out from the opposite corner of the garden! I picked her up and gave her a big cuddle. Such a relief! I've changed the run around today, added a roof, and an upstand, put some bedding in the run, so it doesn't get so muddy. I don't think she likes it! She went in quite easily when I put her down though. I've put photos of my new set up on the gallery, look up "redhotchick". (Haven't got the hang of this photobucket thing yet. Sorry) The run cover idea is courtesy of ANH. Thanks very much! The Megazorb is experimental. I haven't put much down yet to see what happens. It's quite light weight. Ain't Nobody Here
That looks brilliant . It's so clean and tidy looking . That plastic cover fits so well on that size of run - it's a lot neater looking than mine (thanks for the thanks ). What's that green stuff along the edges? It looks really good - I think I need some! Glad Bella was safe .
