fairy&cake
The government say they want us to eat healthy etc etc, BUT things like this really annoy me! Why is whole wheat pasta double the price of white pasta? Argh!!!!! And fruit and veg is so pricey.
Charlottechicken
Maybe the crops to make the pasta have been poor then demand will be higher, and therefore the price Whole wheat anything is usually dearer isn't it, not sure why, surely they don't have to refine it as much (or do they refine it then stick all the roughage bits back in ) I worked out that the increase in the price of butter alone will cost me about £8.50 per year. Then there's the price of flour as well. We are lucky in Brum as we have good markets so I can get lovely fruit and veg for sale at good prices. I am sure now the government insists on bio fuel in our petrol we will see more increases in food prices, as food crops are replaced by fuel ones
