chanters
Have you seen in the news on the BBC website: A flock of feral chickens could be culled because the local authority says they pose a threat to the water supply. 'The 50 birds have made their home on the island of Alderney, close to its airport, and are a popular attraction. But the States General Services Committee has said it has strong evidence they are polluting the island's main water source. It said it would be forced to kill them unless someone stepped forward and offered to rehouse them.' Anyone here from Guernsey considering re-homing any? http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/guernsey/7360665.stm
Guest
There are also wild chickens living near Bordeaux harbour, Vale, Guernsey. They run all over the road and chase you for food - and are a danger to cars etc.... They have been threatening to cull them for years! Guest
.....They run all over the road and chase you for food - and are a danger to cars etc.... the cars are more of a danger to the chickens I'd say Very sad that humanity has to stake its claim all over the place, to the detriment of other species. I hope someone can give them a home, how sad

chelsea
why cant they just leave them be? Polluting the water source?!! I ask you!! The chickens probably arent posh enough for the island or the islands image, and I'll say no more!!
