debbie26pet
yay got a small amount of ebay, to try them, so kids can feed them this to try and cut down on treats, but the kids think it is a treat. is this ok to use this way, as mine are fed on layers pellets as well they love it
Mrs Frugal
Mine have mash rather than pellets and they love it. It's messier than pellets but they do hoover up the bits - eventually . I'm glad you managed to get hold of some. Your hens will love it .
Gamebird
I feed mash to my girls. Mash is the same as pellets except in much smaller pieces so it takes more of their day to eat which gives them less time for boredom and feather pecking. Well that's the theory. I did feed it to them slightly damp but I was advised by the forum that it was better to feed it to them dry as it can go sour when wet. Laura & CTB
I swapped mine from pellets to mash soon after I got them as I was concerened they weren't eating much - they certainly preferred the mash Glad your gilrs enjoyed it.
