Hi All,

 

I'm cross with myself just had a cooking disaster! I bought some of those frozen JusRol quiche tartlet bases. I had not used them before.

 

They have little paper holders and it says on the instructions if baking blind use the cases, but you don't need to blind bake first so being an idiot I took the cases off.

 

Filled them all loving they looked wonderful on the baking tray with cheese, salami, spring onions and a cream and egg filling.

 

Went back to the oven after 10 mins and you can imagine what it was like can't you??? The pastry cases had collapsed and the filling was all over the tray and the bottom of the oven LOL

 

What a waste and what a mess.

What a shame . Did you s"Ooops, word censored!"e them all off the baking tray and tuck in anyway?

No they looked like raw pizzas LOL - still I know for next time!

Reminds me of the time I tried to make pizza bases using powdered yeast - I hugely overestimated the amount of yeast I needed . They looked OK but tasted revolting . The boys tried valiantly to eat some but most of them ended up in the bin .

I will buy them again next weekend and have another go, this time leaving the little baking cases on!!! I'm so daft sometimes.
