Sarah B Posted May 5, 2008 Share Posted May 5, 2008 Hi All, I'm cross with myself just had a cooking disaster! I bought some of those frozen JusRol quiche tartlet bases. I had not used them before. They have little paper holders and it says on the instructions if baking blind use the cases, but you don't need to blind bake first so being an idiot I took the cases off. Filled them all loving they looked wonderful on the baking tray with cheese, salami, spring onions and a cream and egg filling. Went back to the oven after 10 mins and you can imagine what it was like can't you??? The pastry cases had collapsed and the filling was all over the tray and the bottom of the oven LOL What a waste and what a mess. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Ain't Nobody Here Posted May 5, 2008 Share Posted May 5, 2008 Reminds me of the time I tried to make pizza bases using powdered yeast - I hugely overestimated the amount of yeast I needed .
