lisaroo2
She's done it!!!! Somewhere between 10 and 10.30am this morning Rosie has laid her first egg (please see first egg thread, also thanks to moderators for moving the thread, sorry!) Rosie was in that box for the best part of an hour, then Maisie made a proper loud chook noise and told me all about it! Anyway, I'm rambling, said egg is brown, 34g and approx 2" long. Pictures of which can be found here.... http://s282.photobucket.com/albums/kk250/Lisaroo73/?action=view¤t=DSCN2089.jpg Lisa (proud mum of... Phosphorus
Congrats Lisa and well done Rosie. Glad to hear someone else lays 34g eggs as well I can't stop checking to see if anything has been left in the nesting box now - even filled it with shredded paper as well as the aubiose Will proabably put her off now Have you cooked it yet - I still haven't the heart
lisaroo2
Can't eat the egg yet, hubbie-to-be has to be here and he's not seen it yet, would be more than my life's worth. Funny thing is, Rosie let me have a really could stroke of her before she laid, now she's just ignoring me, its like she's saying 'you've got an egg, what more do you want?' Lisa (new mum to...
