Imo
Not a nice title, I know I was just out shopping, caught my ankle on something or other and got blood on my favourite shoes They're Chanel, no less!! I'm a great believer in wearing things to death and enjoying them, so I'm not too upset because it's only a little bit of blood, but I was wondering if anyone has any tips on getting blood out? They're little flat pumps, made of almost a cotton canvas which is cream and black and stripey. I wiped them with a damp cloth, and this seems to have helped a bit, but any tips will be gratefully received
theherd123
Always use cold water and never hot as that sets the stain. Not too sure what else to suggest
Guest
can they go in the washing machine? put them in an old pillowcase on a cool wash maybe? don't blame me if it doesn't qork though, just an idea!
Imo
Definately can't go in washing machine; they have a patent toe and are all leather inside, so I don't think they'd take to washing well. I've tried with a cold damp cloth and it seems to have worked
Cate in NZ
I use cold water and salt on a fresh blood stain, works for me every time (and before that sounds like I'm some crazy axe murderer or something who regularly gets blood stains I'm not, I promise, but I did work as a midwife for 10 years and an A&E nurse before that. Blood was an occupational hazard ).
Tessa the Duchess
Oh I had an Amy Winehouse scenario in my head for a moment I use soda water to remove stains from everything, worth a try. Tessa
BarbaraJ
I swear by Vanish and cold water on most stains
Imo
Remarkably, I think I got away with it There wasn't much blood anyway, and it hasn't left any mark whatsoever. Phew!!
