What's the most embarrasing record in your collection?

Recommended Posts

I was looking for something in the attic this evening, and found my old record collection.

:oops::oops::oops:

Amongst the Wham, Pet Shop Boys and Wet, Wet, Wet, I managed to find TWO Bucks Fizz albums (I loved them - went to see them in concert and everythin :oops: ), and WORSE - 'What Can You Get A Wookie For Christmas (When He Already Owns a Comb), by the Space Droid Choir.....

The actual title of "Gordon is a moron" was "Jilted John" by Jilted John. Jilted John was "guided" by Graham Fellowes who has also been influential in the career of John Shuttleworth, the versatile singer/organist from Sheffield, who can be heard tonight on Radio 4 at 11pm.

Ann O'Rack,

who writes on behalf of Richard T who, at the age of 14 or so, was forced by his two mates to go into Porthcawl's only record shop and ask the very attractive girl behind the counter for three copies of "The Funky Gibbon." by the Goodies. ("Three Funky Gibbons please, miss")

Mine is an album by Keith Harris and Orvile :oops::oops::oops:

I bought it as an ironic statement to play to my mates ( I was 18) when we all got drunk. The only track I ever played was 'The Nappy Rap.'

"Come and do the nappy rap,

you give a little wiggle and then you clap." ( I always changed the last word and never got tired doing so)

"Oooo I love to nappy rap, you given your head a nod and your wings a flap."

Well, you get the idea.

I've got Jilted John by Jilted John. Is that something to be embarrassed about?! :wink:

I wouldn't have said so because I've got it too. I'd be embarrassed if I had something like the Birdy Song, or Atmosphere by Russ Abbott, or vapid "Mum-Rock" records by the likes of Michael Bolton, Chris de Burgh, Celine Dion or James Blunt. ( :twisted: runs for cover)
