Fur 'n' Feathers
Poet, you asked if our hens' names are on the boxes. Well, inspired by this topic we've now added a bordered insert to the inside of the boxes which says: These eggs are laid by our three hens: Miso, Kilo and Krasi (Gk=half litre of wine). Their days are spent eating organic layers pellets, treats like grapes, sweetcorn, apple, sultanas and mealworms, grazing and dust-bathing in their play sand. They have space to move about in their eglu and run, secure from fox attack, and have time freely roaming in their much larger open corral, safely under supervision for a number of hours per week. They are treated naturally regarding their health, using apple cider vinegar, garlic powder and diatomaceous earth. We believe the quality of their eggs reflects their happy lives. Enjoy!
