devon_guy
My garden is a bit slopey. If you can imagine looking ahead of you and the ground slopes down to the right, would it be ok to position the eglu on that and then hammer the run down with some tent pegs or the like? Would it be bad for their legs to be on a slope?
Egluntyne
My garden slopes a bit. Not massively steeply, but they haven't complained so far, and their legs seem OK. Good idea to secure it down though. Edited May 12, 2008 by Guest
moomin
I'm sure they will be fine it will keep them fit traipsing up the hill
Ain't Nobody Here
You'd better watch out that they don't end up with the same problem as the haggis - one leg shorter than the other .

Ah but that is from running round the hills in one direction, not running up and down the hills. Should be OK
landgirl
mine is on a very mild slope. Far too mild to bother the hens. The only draw back is the front (door end) of the eglu faces down the slope and any rain/condensation that seeps into the back of the eglu tends to pool on the gray plastic below the pull out tray around the wall of the nest, but it doesn't cause much problem, just needs mopping up when I am cleaning out. muzzie
Mine are on a slope too I don't have any level area in the yard except the way far end of the garden to far from the house for me to keep on eye on them with trees and large rock blocking my view. The only problem sometimes is an egg will roll out of the nest box I think with some chicken help while they are scratching and wiggling to get comfortable in the nest to lay.
