pbfhpunk
Hi all Haven't posted for a while as have spent most of my time in bed ill or with the chickens! Just wanted to update you all. I can't believe it's only been 2 weeks sice we got them, it seems like forever! We let them out most nights now for ann hour or so and over th eweekend they've been out quite alot. They go mental for grapes which is so funny to watch and mealworms too. There doesnt' seem to have been any pecking order thing going on at all although when they're out they'll sometimes square up to each other but then get distracted by food straight away so just looks like they're stretching! On Saturday one kept running round to the other's and when she went near they sort of crouched, it was strange they ducked their bodies down but their wings sort of went up a bit. One did it yesterday too when I went in to give them their mealworms. Is that 'the' crouching? they've not done it before, and also how soon after crouching do the eggs come? Are there any other signs I should look out for too? Thanks Helen
Christian
Yep! That's the 'crouch'!! Look out for red comb/wattles too. All of mine laid about a week after they started crouching

They don't do it near each other but i don't seem to have much of a pecking order just Amber is first in the food, but will happily share!
