Becka
When you're making the cake by the weighing the eggs method, are the eggs in or out of their shells? Many thanks, Becka
surferdog
Hi Becka, I weigh mine in the shells. I've used as many as 5 eggs when they were first laying those tiny first ones and it's always worked perfectly.

Abbey Road Girl
I would suggest that after weighing them in their shells, you crack them into a bowl before you measure out the other ingredients. In case you drop one on the floor! Also, it's a good idea to write down the weight of each ingredient at the time you weigh it. I wasn't sure if I'd weighed out the right amount and had to do some reweighing just to be sure. Lovely cake though!
Ain't Nobody Here
I used that method this very afternoon to make cherry fairy cakes - they are delicious .
